Thursday the 11 helped father make his bob Sleds. Friday the 12 finished my Chest. Saturday the 13 Seating Chairs. Sunday the 14 at meting. Monday the 15 Seating Chairs. Tuesday the 16 went in the kanion and got logs. Wednsday the 17 the Same. Thursday the 18 put Shoes on the bob Sled. Friday the 19 I visiting at fathers house. Monday October 1, 1855 Went in the kanion and got shingles. Tuesday the 2 hauling Adobies. Wednesday the 3 Commenced laying up my house. Thursday the 4 the Same.
Friday the 5 the Same. Saturday the 6 the Same. Sunday the 7 at home. Monday the 8 went to the City to attend Conference. Tuesday the 9 tending masons to lay up my house. Wednesday the 10 the Same. Thursday the 11 went to the kanion and got a load of pols. Friday the 12 plain my freeze boards. Saturday the 13 my wife was taken sick she was taken with fitts about 10 o'clock and about 12 of clock. She was delivered of a fine boy. She Continues to have fitts till about 12 o'clock at night. She had them very hard and often and she lost her Senses. Sunday the 14 She Came to her senses about 5 o'clock and was a getting better. Monday the 15 my wife getting better the baby was taken with fitts about 10 o'clock and continued to have them til 12 o'clock at night. Tuesday the 16 the boy appeared to be better it was on Monday that Father and myself blessed him and i named him Oliver J. Wednesday the 17 the boy getting worse my wife getting better. Thursday the 18 My Son died about 10 o'clock and was buried. Friday the 19 my wife getting better. Saturday the 20 there was a quarterly meeting it commenced at 10 o'clock. Bro P.P. Pratt and Orson Pratt, Wilford Woodruff was here i attended it. Sunday the 21 at home in the forenoon at meting in the after noon. Monday the 22 I attended a regimental parade. Tuesday the 23 went in the kanion With Andrew Quigley and got shingles logs. Wednesday the 24 went in the kanion an got a shingles log. Thursday the 25 working about the house. Friday the 26 putting my rafters on my house. Saturday the 27 Shingleng my house. Sunday the 28 my wife getting better i took her up to her mothers and my sister Anna M. Came home to her mothers. Thursday the Nov the 1 worked for Father 1855. Friday the 2 Went in the kanion and got a load of wood. and Came down in the windstorms it blowed from the East, it took the roof of from J.W. Hess and H. Berk and done considerable other damages. Saturday the 3 the Ceased blowing in the night i mended my shoes. Sunday the 4 went to the City, was at meeting in the after noon Bro Charles Bassett and Bro B. Young gave a very interesting discourses. Monday the 5 Worked for Father.
